Welcome College Coaches!

(!!! Draft - This article is not currently published !!!)

College Coaches,

The 2010 Beast of the Southeast is upon us--February 20-21 in suburban Atlanta.  We hope that you’ve made plans to scout this exciting invitational tournament.   With over 500 girls 15 and older from top teams throughout the Southeastern United States—most of which qualified for Nationals last season—playing under one roof, you won’t find a more time-efficient recruiting opportunity.

A few notes if you’re planning on attending:

Pools, court assignments, etc. will be posted on the tournament’s website, southernvolleyballshowcase.com, not later than Thursday, 2/11.  15’s and 18’s compete in Saturday’s a.m. wave, while 16’s and 17’s play in the afternoon.

Admission is free for college coaches.  Just drop your card off at the gate and make your way back to the tournament desk for your recruiting guide.

Directions to the venue, Suwanee Sports Academy (“SSA”) in northeastern/suburban Atlanta, are available at the following link:  http://ssasports.com/direction.htm

The good news is that parking is free; the bad news is that parking is difficult.  If spaces in the parking lot are taken, you will need to park at one of the satellite lots or on one of the side roads.  Do not park on McGinnis Ferry Blvd. under any circumstances.  If you wish to park on the side Burnett Road, make sure your tires are all the way off the pavement; otherwise you will be towed.  The side roads off Burnett are fine; just bring your walking shoes.  The nearby church parking lot and business parking lots are off limits—they will tow you.  The best news is that once you’re in the facility, you shouldn’t need to leave until you are finished for the day.  We will have a well-stocked hospitality room for your convenience.

If you’ve not yet reserved your hotel, you may do so either on your own, or by taking advantage of SSA’s housing bureau:  http://ssasports.com/housing_bureau.htm

Please visit the tournament website if you desire further information.  If you have questions that aren’t addressed on the website, feel free to contact the undersigned.  We look forward to seeing you at the 2nd annual Beast of the Southeast Tournament of Champions!
